Sole S.A. was the first Greek company to be involved in the renewable energy sources sector, since its foundation in 1974. Until today, it still maintains its leadership in the European solar water heater market exporting 75% of its production all over the world.

Sole produces solar thermal collectors, thermosyphon solar water heaters, compact solar water heaters and undertakes projects for sanitary or process hot water, room heating, pool heating and Solar Air Conditioning.

All solar water heaters, boilers and solar panels are manufactured according to the ISO 9001:2015, quality management system and tested for their reliability and performance by the EKEFE DIMOKRITOS, INTA (Spain), CERTIF (Portugal), CSTB (France) and TUV (Germany) and SRCC (USA) institutions.

LANDMARKS IN THE HISTORY OF SOLE

1974
SOLE S.A.
Panos Lamaris establishes the 1st solar products manufacturing company in Greece and the European Union. The same year SOLE S.A. produces the well known solar water heater “Heliothermo”.
1975
SOLE S.A.
The company innovates and applies the closed circuit thermosyphon system for the first time in solar water heaters. Today this system is used by all other manufacturers. The same year and for the first time in Europe SOLE S.A. installs a central solar water heating system in a large hotel.
1979
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. installs a solar central heating system covering 90% of the demand of the building for the first time in Greece.
1983
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. presents the revolutionary (at that time) model “Junior” with an integrated collector and boiler satisfying even the most demanding aesthetic requirements.
1986
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. creates the “Lectron PL-1” electronic thermometer. This thermometer indicates the temperature of the water in the solar system on a display panel inside the house.
1993
SOLE S.A.
10 years later, the “Junior” model is re-developed & renamed “Alpha” which wins a competition held by the Ministry of Industry.
1994
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. expands internationally and exports its products to countries like Spain, Germany, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Korea, Malaysia, Italy, France and many more.
1996
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. produces the “Eurostar” thermosyphon type solar water heater.
1999
SOLE S.A.
25 years at the top of consumer’s preference. The solar systems of SOLE are chosen in all large and major solar energy projects in Greece (Olympic Stadium 1981, Peace & Friendship Stadium 1992). The spread is not limited by the borders of our country. SOLE SA completes international innovative projects of "Solar air conditioning heating and cooling" with solar collectors, Climasol, with selective surface.
2000
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. continues to execute among others, 2 more projects in Crete for Solar Air Conditioning.
2001-2004
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. keeps expanding its products sales to continuously more and more countries around the world.
2005

SOLE S.A. develops a new ‘universal’ support frame for its thermosyphon systems that can be applied to both flat and tile roofs.
2006-2008

SOLE S.A. from this year on exports 70% of its products in 35 countries while maintaining its leadership in the Greek market.
2008
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. delivers another big project in Hungary for solar air conditioning in a supermarket.
2009
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. conquers the skies by supplying the solar system to the highest building in the world (Burj Khalifa In Dubai).
2010
SOLE S.A.
SOLE S.A. delivers another big project in Hungary for solar air conditioning in a supermarket. Among several collective installations in large hotel complexes SOLE S.A. delivers in operation the solar system of Dubai Sports Complex one of the most advanced stadiums in the world.
2011
SOLE S.A.
SOLE creates an innovative product, ‘’AIRSOL’’, solar air collector for room heating
2012- 2013
SOLE S.A.
SOLE redesigns and recreates Heliothermo, solar water heater, the most popular system in Greece. At the same time designs the corresponding product Eurostar –Eco for the markets outside Greece.
2015
SOLE S.A.
The Research and Development department in collaboration with NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) develops a new technology of solar linear concentrating collectors for temperatures up to 400°C.
2017-2018
SOLE S.A.
Among the numerous projects that SOLE undertakes abroad, after the globally famous installation at Burj Khalifa Dubai, are the hotel FLORA AIRPORT HOTEL, Dubai, the CROWN PLAZA HOTEL, Jeddah-S. Arabia, the HEALTH CENTER ANMATT CLINIC, S. Arabia, the new building complex of the new Headquarters of HSBC Bank in Dubai and the hospital complex BURJEEL MEDICAL CITY in Abu Dhabi.

SOLE establishes its position as a dominant manufacturer of solar systems throughout the Middle East and at the same time dynamically increases its exports to more than 40 countries and a percentage of 75%.
